The band are very proud of the achievements of its younger members, and seek to support youth developement. This summer no less than nine of the main band were successful in gaining a place in the National Youth Brass Band of Wales and spent a busy week attending a course in north Wales and taking part in a series of concerts culminating at the Riverfront Theatre Newport in August.
